Typar® HouseWrap™

Typar® HouseWrap™ is a smart-engineered exterior housewrap that acts as the primary line of defense against the elements during construction, and a secondary water barrier after cladding is installed.

As a component of the Typar® Weather Protection System, Typar HouseWrap combines superior water holdout that blocks water from entering the wall cavity and superior tear strength that is almost five times that of the leading competitive wrap.

For optimal moisture vapor transmission, its 11.7 perm rating allows the wall cavity to breathe. As a result, moisture vapor can escape the wall cavity, which can reduce the chance of mold growth.

Typar HouseWrap offers optimal surfactant resistance, reducing the performance robbing effects that oils and tannins from OSB, soaps and power washing can have on ordinary housewrap’s ability to block bulk moisture penetration.
