Manitoba High School gymnasium gets make over
Powerview High School located in Powerview, Manitoba about 130 km northeast of Winnipeg had K13 White spray-applied insulation installed on the walls of the gymnasium for well over 25 years. The original spray was in excellent condition as far as the acoustics were concerned but a bit soiled by water stains from roof leaks and a airborne dust that had collected over the years. The school administration wanted to brighten the gym up a bit and contracted Dave Boisjoli with Boisco Enterprise Ltd. in Winnipeg, to come in and do some repairs. Dave had previously sprayed Protek 13 at another Manitoba school gym and had the experience needed to handle this project.
Boisco Enterprise had a few options to work with. They chose to leave the existing K13 and over spray it with Protek 13. By doing an overspray of Protek 13 not only did this save time and money for the school, it kept intact the great acoustics that the school had enjoyed for years and now the “old gym” took on a great new look.
